Deep tissue, done properly
Deep tissue massage gets requested more than anything else, and it is frequently done badly — pressure for its own sake, applied everywhere, leaving you sore for three days. Firm work should be targeted at tissue that is actually restricted, at a pressure you can breathe through.
Our therapists are Level 7 qualified and work inside a clinic alongside registered osteopaths and physiotherapists. That means if ninety minutes of deep tissue is not going to fix what you have, somebody will tell you — and there is a physiotherapy or osteopathy appointment down the corridor rather than somewhere else entirely.
Sessions run 30, 45, 60 or 90 minutes, and packages are there if you are managing something ongoing — see the prices page. We are ACC registered, accept Southern Cross Easy-Claim and Afterpay, and massage sits alongside osteopathy, acupuncture and functional medicine in the same clinics. No GP referral is needed, and Glenfield takes bookings from 7am on weekdays.

Injured in an accident?
ACC does not fund massage therapists, but it does fund registered osteopaths. If your pain started with an accident, our osteopath Akiko Nobuhara can treat you under ACC. Her sessions are a combination of osteopathy, massage therapy and manual therapy, given by a registered osteopath, so ACC can cover them. No GP referral needed.
