Fine needling to the face and scalp to support skin tone, texture and facial tension — a gradual, needle-only approach with no injectables and no downtime.
Cosmetic acupuncture, sometimes called facial acupuncture, uses very fine needles in the face, scalp and neck alongside points on the body. The idea is not to freeze or fill anything. It is to work with the muscle tension and circulation of the face, and to treat the person attached to it.
Sessions run an hour and twenty minutes. Most of that is quiet. Needles are far finer than anything used for injections, and most people find the face a surprisingly comfortable place to be needled. It is a gradual treatment — a course over several weeks does more than a single visit ever will.
The most common reason people try it. Expect gradual change across a course of treatments rather than an overnight difference.
Particularly around the forehead, brow and jaw, where held tension shows. Relaxing the muscle often matters more than the line itself.
Clenching and grinding pull on the whole lower face. We often treat the jaw and the face together — see our TMJ page.
Poor sleep and a nervous system stuck on high show up in the skin. Body points are treated alongside the face for this reason.
Perimenopause and menopause change skin. Cosmetic acupuncture is often booked alongside our hormonal health support.
For people who would rather not use Botox or fillers, or who want something to sit alongside what they already do.
This treatment is marketed harder than almost anything else in our industry, so here is the honest version.
It is not a facelift and it is not a substitute for Botox or fillers. Nobody should promise you those results from a needle. Changes are subtle, they build over a course, and they fade if you stop.
It will not undo sun damage, and it will not deliver a result from one appointment. A typical course is six to ten sessions over several weeks, with occasional maintenance after that. If someone tells you otherwise, be careful.
We will not treat you if you are pregnant, have a bleeding disorder or are taking blood thinners without medical clearance, or if you have an active skin infection, an active cold sore outbreak, or have had injectables in the last two weeks. Tell us about any recent cosmetic work at booking.
