ACC and CareWay registered physio on the Hibiscus Coast — built for the coast's active community of surfers, runners, swimmers, gym-goers, growing families and a strong retired population. Working alongside our osteopaths, acupuncturists and massage therapists at the Orewa clinic for genuinely coordinated care.
The Hibiscus Coast isn't your average suburb. It's a stretch of coastline where weekend mornings start with a surf at Orewa Beach, where Whangaparaoa peninsula's bush trails fill with runners by 6am, where Silverdale gym memberships sit alongside school drop-offs at Millwater, and where a strong retired community keeps walking, swimming and golfing well past traditional retirement age.
Premier Wellness Orewa is built for exactly this rhythm. Our physiotherapy treats the injuries this coast actually gets — surf-shoulder, runner's knee, post-paddleboard back pain, gym overload, post-surgical knee and hip rehab, pregnancy-related pelvic pain, and the gradual joint and balance issues that come with a long active life.
And because we share the building with osteopaths, acupuncturists and massage therapists, your physiotherapist can refer you across the corridor when something else would help — not back into another waiting list.
Built for surfers, swimmers, paddlers, runners and gym-goers — sport-specific rehab, not generic exercise sheets.
From pregnancy and postnatal recovery to school-age sports injuries and active grandparents — care across the lifespan.
Osteopathy, acupuncture, massage, nutrition and functional medicine all in the same clinic — no fragmented care.
ACC registered for injuries. CareWay enhanced rehabilitation for knee, shoulder and lower back injuries. Southern Cross Easy-Claim for direct insurance billing.
A Hibiscus Coast local, Briana brings strong private-practice physiotherapy experience to Premier Wellness Orewa — combining hands-on manual therapy, dry needling and progressive exercise rehabilitation. With a personal background in CrossFit and running, and family roots on the coast, she's particularly skilled at supporting active patients, post-surgical recovery and pregnancy-related pain back to the activities they love.
From acute injuries and post-surgical rehab through to pregnancy-related pain and chronic musculoskeletal issues — all under one roof at our Orewa clinic.
Rotator cuff strains from paddling, runner's knee, lumbar issues from lifting, ankle and Achilles complaints — sport-specific assessment and rehab tailored to what you actually do, not generic protocols.

Dry needling is one of the most effective tools we offer for releasing stubborn muscle tension, calming overactive trigger points and accelerating recovery. Available as part of physiotherapy treatment at Premier Wellness Orewa.
What is dry needling? Dry needling uses very fine, sterile, single-use acupuncture-style needles inserted directly into trigger points or tight muscle bands. Unlike acupuncture (which works through traditional Chinese meridian theory), dry needling is grounded in modern Western anatomy and neuromuscular science — targeting the specific muscle fibres causing your pain or restriction.
What does it feel like? Most patients describe a brief twitch or cramping sensation as the needle reaches the trigger point — often followed by a noticeable release. The needles themselves are barely felt going in. Sessions take just a few minutes as part of a wider physiotherapy appointment.
Why it works: By directly stimulating tight muscle bands, dry needling helps reduce local pain, improve blood flow, decrease muscle tightness and restore normal movement patterns — often producing change in tissues that have not responded to manual therapy or stretching alone.
Goes directly to the trigger point, releasing tension that hands-on work alone may not reach.
Many patients feel a noticeable change in the same session, often with reduced pain and improved range.
Used alongside manual therapy and exercise prescription — not as a standalone treatment.
When part of ACC-eligible injury treatment, dry needling is included in your funded physiotherapy session.
