Senior Physiotherapist · Premier Wellness Orewa
Briana brings strong private-practice physiotherapy experience to the Hibiscus Coast — combining hands-on manual therapy, Western medicine acupuncture dry needling and progressive exercise rehabilitation to get you back to the activities you love. Whether you're a CrossFit athlete, recovering from surgery, navigating pregnancy-related pain or working through a stubborn back or neck injury, Briana takes a thorough, root-cause approach.
Briana developed a passion for biomechanics and the human body through her involvement in sport from a young age. After a significant knee injury while playing netball, she experienced rehabilitation firsthand — an experience that shaped her into a compassionate and empathetic clinician who understands the recovery journey from both sides.
Since graduating from the Auckland University of Technology in 2019 with a Bachelor of Health Science in Physiotherapy, Briana has worked across Auckland's North Shore in private practice, treating a wide range of musculoskeletal and sports injuries. Her clinical approach blends manual therapy, therapeutic exercise and clear patient education to deliver meaningful, long-term outcomes.
She has a particular interest in supporting CrossFit athletes, runners and active individuals — drawing on her own background in CrossFit and running — as well as guiding patients through pre and post-operative rehabilitation, and helping mums work through pregnancy-related groin, hip and back pain.
A blend of hands-on manual therapy, Western medicine acupuncture dry needling and progressive rehabilitation — tailored to the activities and work you want to get back to.
Acute injuries, ligament sprains, tendinopathies, post-surgical rehabilitation and chronic joint pain — for patients of all ages and activity levels.
Acute and chronic spinal pain, postural-related neck issues, cervicogenic headaches, sciatica and lumbar disc presentations.
Specialised assessment and rehabilitation for the demands of CrossFit — from rotator cuff and shoulder issues to lifting-related back, hip and knee complaints.
Assessment, treatment and structured return-to-sport programmes for runners, team-sport athletes and recreational exercisers.
An advanced, integrated movement-based rehab system that strengthens the body through full kinetic chains — restoring strength, control and confidence in movement.
Prehabilitation to optimise outcomes before surgery, plus structured post-operative rehabilitation following knee, hip, shoulder and other orthopaedic procedures.
Western medicine acupuncture — targeted needling techniques used alongside manual therapy and exercise to release muscle tension, reduce pain and support recovery.
Identifying faulty movement patterns and addressing the root causes of injury — not just the symptoms — for lasting, long-term outcomes.
Safe, gentle physiotherapy for pregnancy-related groin, hip and back pain — and postnatal recovery to return to the activities you love.
A clear, structured first session — so you leave knowing exactly what's going on and what the plan looks like.
A detailed conversation about your symptoms, lifestyle, work demands, training and goals — to understand the whole picture.
A biomechanical and physical assessment to identify the root cause — not just where the pain is, but why it's there.
Manual therapy, Western medicine acupuncture dry needling where appropriate, and targeted soft-tissue work to settle pain and restore movement.
A clear rehabilitation plan with home exercises, expected timeframe and progression markers — so you know what to expect.
