Patient-centred osteopathy on Auckland's North Shore — and Orewa
Hamish Wallace is a registered osteopath at Premier Wellness, practising at both our Glenfield (North Shore) and Orewa (Hibiscus Coast) clinics. He holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Osteopathy and a Bachelor of Musculoskeletal Health from Ara Institute of Canterbury, as well as a Bachelor of Sports Coaching (Performance Analysis) from the University of Canterbury.
Hamish takes a patient-centred, collaborative approach to osteopathic care — combining hands-on treatment with exercise-based rehabilitation and movement retraining. Rather than treating symptoms in isolation, he considers the physical, psychological and lifestyle factors that contribute to each patient's presentation, developing personalised treatment plans aimed at lasting results rather than short-term relief.
His background in sports coaching and performance analysis gives him a strong foundation in human movement and biomechanics — an understanding he brings directly to his osteopathic practice. Whether you're a weekend runner, a desk worker with chronic tension, a pregnant patient, or an infant presenting with colic, Hamish adapts his approach to your specific needs and goals.
Hamish is OCNZ-registered and ACC-registered. He can lodge new ACC claims at your first appointment — no GP referral required. He also accepts Southern Cross and Afterpay for all consultations.
How Hamish works with patients
Thorough assessment first
Every appointment begins with a full case history and physical assessment — understanding your history, lifestyle and goals before any treatment begins.
Hands-on osteopathic treatment
Soft tissue work, joint mobilisation, muscle energy techniques and gentle manipulation tailored to your presentation and tolerance.
Exercise & rehabilitation
Where appropriate, Hamish integrates exercise-based rehabilitation and movement retraining to support recovery and prevent recurrence.
Collaborative & holistic
Hamish considers physical, psychological and lifestyle factors — working with you, not just on you — for results that last beyond the treatment table.
