Dewi Thomas is a registered osteopath on Auckland's North Shore, treating patients at Premier Wellness Glenfield — from babies to the elderly — with a hands-on, whole-person approach that supports lasting recovery and movement.
Osteopathic care on Auckland's North Shore
Dewi is a structural and cranial osteopath with a genuinely broad clinical scope — treating patients from newborns through to older adults. Whether you're dealing with an acute injury, long-standing chronic pain, or concerns about your baby, she works methodically to understand what's driving the problem and builds a plan to resolve it.
"Your body has an incredible capacity to heal. My job is to find and remove what's standing in the way."
Dewi uses a wide range of techniques — from gentle cranial work and soft tissue release through to joint mobilisation and manipulation — selecting approaches based on what each individual needs. She also draws on her yoga training to support breathing, posture, and body awareness as part of wider management and rehabilitation.
As an ACC-registered osteopath, Dewi can treat injury claims without requiring a GP referral first. She can also refer for imaging such as X-rays and ultrasounds when clinically appropriate.
Hands-on diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal pain, restricted movement, and injury across the whole body.
Gentle cranial techniques suited to newborns, babies, children, and adults with sensitised nervous systems.
Assessment and treatment of birth-related tension, feeding difficulties, unsettled behaviour, and developmental concerns.
Postural advice, breathing retraining, and graduated return-to-activity planning tailored to your goals.
Dewi works with patients across all life stages — from newborns through to older adults — using the right technique for each individual and their goals.
Acute and chronic spinal pain, disc-related issues, stiffness, and postural strain from desk work or daily activity.
Cervicogenic and tension headaches, jaw-related pain, and headaches associated with concussion or posture.
Rotator cuff problems, hip impingement, knee and ankle conditions, and general joint restriction and stiffness.
Unsettled behaviour, feeding difficulties, torticollis, plagiocephaly, and tension following difficult or assisted deliveries.
Pelvic girdle pain, sacroiliac dysfunction, rib pain, sciatica, and postpartum musculoskeletal rebalancing.
Acute and overuse injuries, sprains and strains, and graduated return to sport — from recreational to competitive athletes.

Dewi brings a genuinely holistic perspective to osteopathy — shaped by her clinical training, a broad range of life experience, and a deep interest in how body, mind, and community connect. She trained at Unitec in Auckland, completing a Bachelor of Applied Science in Human Biology before going on to complete her Master of Osteopathy.
Dewi has invested significantly in postgraduate paediatric training — completing specialist courses with Julie Fendall, infant and child health essentials through Te Ara, and the Sutherland Cranial Teaching Foundation Fundamentals course. She completed Neurokinetic Therapy (NKT) training in 2025, adding a neuromuscular assessment layer to her practice. She volunteers with the Osteopathic Children's Foundation and participated in the Hands with Hearts osteopathic mission in Bali in 2025.
Dewi also draws on her background in romiromi — traditional Māori bodywork — as a complementary dimension to her practice where clinically appropriate.
Outside the clinic, Dewi is passionate about horse riding, muay thai, cooking, and spending time with her son and family — a life that keeps her active and grounded in the physical realities of everyday movement.
Dewi is amazing! Three months after having my second baby my back got so sore I ended up stuck in bed. Dewi's approach is gentle but so effective — she made an incredible difference after just my first appointment. I really think all postpartum mums deserve the gift of her expertise. After treating me I booked my three-month-old in; she had become fussy with feeding and didn't like being on one side in particular. Dewi located the sources of her tight muscles and gently and calmly treated her. My wriggly baby loved it — and she even reduced the amount of feeds she was up for in the night. Mother and baby are both very happy.
Dewi is awesome. I always feel like I float out feeling more relaxed, with less pain and standing taller after a treatment. Highly recommend.
Dewi has been a great help treating my neck pain and pressure-based headaches. She has a really caring approach and I always recommend her to anyone struggling with strained muscles or body-based pain.
Dewi offered such a great space for me today. Very professional, thorough, and she created a very safe space. I felt at ease and able to trust her. She made good observations and clear recommendations on how to move forward. Feeling hopeful — will be returning and highly recommend.
